There will be a variety of apartment types, individual porches or patios for each unit, as well as light filled common areas for socializing and recreation both indoor and out. Current trends in senior housing are being incorporated into the design for improved quality of living for the residents. The project is unique in the team approach being used in its design. Affiniti Architects, an industry leader in residential design, is partnering with a nationwide leader in senior housing to create a cozier more residential approach to the field of assisted living. In addition to designing the project with great efficiency for operation on a day to day basis and with regard to green principles of building for improved environmental qualities, it is intended that the residents will live in an environment which has the look and feel of a residence rather than an institution.
