Green

Affiniti Architects, as a firm, is a member of the United States Green Building Council, along with multiple partners having LEED certification.  Our work throughout the Caribbean has given us “off the grid” experience, well before it was fashionable.

As part of the Solaris home design team, Affiniti Architects has achieved the first Platinum LEED-rated residence in Florida.  As a part of the LEED pilot program for residential certification, we are ahead of the curve achieving one of the first LEED residential certifications when they are established in the near future.

Affiniti Architects continuous research of wind, solar, passive, and active systems is part of our commitment.  We believe architecture can be fully integrated within the requirements providing an uncompromising aesthetically pleasing result.

Cat Cay Residence

At 5,000 S.F., this unique ocean front residence was designed with all non-allergic building products as well as independence from grid power and water. The plan is unique by where it allows the house to be split for rental without compromise as the whole house is accessible for larger family reunions. The use of natural Bahamian stone and traditional clapboard siding make this one remarkable island retreat.
